We have reached a milestone…!
Last week, thanks to the Rotary Club of Forest Hill in Melbourne, the 100th ABCD child was sponsored for a full year of education at the Taveuni Central Primary School in Fiji. This is the third ABCD project to get off the ground since we started the pilot project at Nasouri in 2009. So far the sponsoring Rotary Clubs in conjunction with ABCD Inc. have found sponsors for 38 children at Nasouri, 44 at Lavena Primary (RC Templestowe), 4 at Nasavusavu School for Special Education (RC Fern Tree Gully) and now 14 at Taveuni Central Primary (RC Forest Hill). With RC Sandringham taking on Nasavusavu Primary and RC Geelong Central working with the South Taveuni Schools complex we are well on our way to 200 children! If you would like to help us get there just let me know. Sponsoring an ABCD child is just $250 for the year – and 100% of your donation – yes, 100% – goes to support the child.
