ABCD: Art Building Children’s Dreams (Australia) Inc. was set up in 2009 by the Rotary Club of Templestowe in Melbourne, Australia. We would love to ‘spread the word’ about ABCD throughout the region and to encourage more and more Rotary Clubs to take on an ABCD Project. Our aims in this regard have recently received a boost with the publication of the new ‘Future Vision’ strategy being adopted as a pilot project by the Rotary Foundation – as many would say the driving force behind Rotary International.
The mission of The Rotary Foundation is to enable Rotarians to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through the improvement of health, the support of education, and the alleviation of poverty. One of the 6 Areas of Focus for the Future Vision Strategy is basic education and literacy. This is absolutely in line with the objectives of ABCD!
